Pictures:  Pictures for the game program will be taken on Monday, June 16th, at 8:00 a.m. in front of the Cafeteria, on campus.  Players will be dressed in game uniforms if press should be interested in early pictures.

 

Press Day: Press day will be held at W. Va. State College on Tuesday, June 17th, from noon to 2:00 p.m.  Lunch will be provided for the press at the campus cafeteria.  We encourage you to attend, as press coverage is extremely important to the game success.  Players may talk to the press at this time.

The score of last year game was:  North=3 and South=7

The South leads the All-Star series with 33 wins, to the North’s 18 wins, with 3 ties.

 

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame have provided us with a total of ten scholarships to be given to the All Star players based on Grade Point Average, Community Involvement, Recognition for being involved in school related activities and Recommendation from their high school coach.  The 2007 players from the North were :  Charlie Taylor-Parkersburg High; Kyle Allard-Fairmont Senior High; Luke Black-Parkersburg Catholic; Ben Kettering-Fairmont Senior High; Brandon Tucker-Wheeling Central Catholic.

 

The 2007 South College Hall of Fame winners were:  Aaron Dunlap-St. Albans High; Jeremy James-St. Albans High; C.J. Huffman-Hurricane High; Tyler Rader-Nitro High; Trent Walker-Greenbrier West High School.  We also honored two girls:  Ashley Hickman-Nicholas County High, sponsored by Guardian Auto Glass; and Cassie Staten-Princeton High, sponsored by RAZE, the Tobacco Group.   The other eight scholarships are given by the W.Va. Coaches Association selected by coaches of the game.  This is based on Cooperation, Hard Work, Leadership on and off the field.  Coaches from both the North and South selected these scholarship winners.  The players from the North were:  Travis Buttrey-Williamstown; P.J. Posley-Parkersbury; Coddy Nutter-Parkersburg South and Jarod Shaw-Grafton High School.   The South players receiving this award were:  Justin Crews-Riverside; Myles Hensen-Sissonville; Keith Taylor-Princeton and Aaron Shamblin-Poca.  The 2007 MVP players of the game was Derek Sevier of East Fairmont for the North and Steven Bumpus of Capital High School for the South.    Congratulations to all, and Best of Luck to each player.
